【Wufeng Lin Family Mansion】The Lin Family originated from Wufeng, Taichung, hence the name Wufeng Lin Family Mansion. In the 1850s, the Lin Family owned massive farm lands in Taiwan and assisted in winning many battles, thus possessing an armed force of several thousand soldiers. Granted the exclusive camphor trading rights, the Lins were one of the top 5 influential families at the time. The Wufeng Lin Family Mansion as a state-designated historic monument comprises the residential building and its annex garden in Wufeng, covering the Upper Mansion, the Lower Mansion and the Lai Garden. In the Wufeng Lin Family Mansion, only the Hall of Gongbaodi and the Great Flower Hall in the Lower Mansion are currently open to visitors. Both are classic examples of Taiwan’s traditional architecture, embodying great cultural value.

【National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts (NTMFA)】Under the Ministry of Culture, the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts is the only national fine arts museum in Taiwan, also currently one of the largest museums in Asia. Located in downtown Taichung with convenient transportation, the NTMFA covers a land area of 102,000 square meters and was opened in 1988. Nearby renowned tourist attractions include the National Museum of Natural Science, Museum Parkway and Calligraphy Greenway. The NTMFA’s artistic ambience has energized its surrounding areas with artistic, cultural and shopping venues, thus collectively forming an ambience imbued with art, culture and leisure.

【Rainbow Village】The Rainbow Village is located inside Alley 56, Chunan Road, Nantun District, Taichung City. All the paintings were done by Mr. Huang Yongfu, also known as Grandpa Rainbow. Huang ingeniously fused compelling elements from his surroundings and covered the old houses with dazzling colors and childlike fun drawings. Walking into this fantastic colorful blocks of alleyways is like stepping into a world of fairy tales. Attracting visitors from far and wide, the Rainbow Village is one of Taichung’s hot spots for photo-shoots.

【National Taichung Theatre (NTT) 】is an opera house in Taichung's 7th Redevelopment Zone in the Xitun District of Taichung. Designed by Japanese architect Toyo Ito, based on the Sound Cave concept, featuring designs of curved walls, air holes and tube shapes, this is a new construction style with no support of pillars, nor 90-degree angle walls. The NTT consists of three international professional performance venues: a grand theater, a playhouse and a black box, each for a different type of performances, plus a multi-purpose Corner Salon for educational events, lectures and more. The greens on the outdoor theater and the rooftop on the sky garden are also great spots for rest and leisure. The NTT building itself is a great piece of art, and each of the grand theatre, the playhouse and the sky garden is unique with its own characteristics, too. Altogether this is a tremendous feast of art, worth your thorough enjoyment.
